I am not a fashion victim and I don’t follow the trends but the accessories, especially the necklaces, are my secret weapon to embellish every boring outfit. I am fond of the Scandinavian style – white shirts and T-shirts, black turtlenecks, unicolour outfits, and my ”signature spice” that I add to this ”basic colour dish” are the necklaces. When I am travelling I enjoy checking small design shops and local handmade markets and buy unique accessories to reinvent my wardrobe. Here is my selection of fresh ideas to reinvent your wardrobe with accessories.

Conquer the summer with colour: yellow crocus by Nadya’s knit
My top favourite necklace for the summer is this yellow crocus that I wear with white shirts and this awesome marine dress that I wear on the picture. I have the same necklace in red and it’s as beautiful as the yellow one. Both are handmade by Nadya from Nadya’s knit. A great necklace to reinvent a white shirt or T-shirt as well.
Put a succulent arround your neck
The second fresh idea to reinvent your wardrobe is this cute succulent that goes amazingly with white shirts (again!) and is an absolute must-have for every plant lover. This pendant is also handmade by 3va’s Handmade. Reinvent your wardrobe with some succulents in a pot!
Their Majesty – The Pearls
The third place is for an absolute classic – their Majesty The Pearls. Real or fake they will be always A la mode. I put a pearl necklace when I am busy and don’t have the time to take care of my outfit and that saves my mood! White, rose or black the pearls are my favourites of all times!
Bohemian crystal glass
Bohemian glass necklace or well-known as Czech glass necklace is a bijou that I got from my mother. I refurbished it a little bit, but as it has a sentimental value for me I wear it on special occasions. When traveling to the Czech Republic, don’t forget to bring back home something made of glass!
Traditional Bulgarian embroidery made by Radi Arts
This brooch with traditional Bulgarian embroidery will reinvent the most boring wardrobe ever! This is a traditional handmade Bulgarian embroidery made by Radi Arts. I also sent few to my friends in the Netherlands, so they can dress to impress with outstanding handmade jewellery!
Winter time is synonym of wood
Wood is considered being a noble material and is often associated with warmth and cosiness. These both necklaces make an integral part of my ”autumn/ winter” collection and go well with warm jumpers and cardigans. Real game-changers that reinvent my dark-coloured wardrobe during the cold season!
Leather will be always in fashion
The leather is also a material I adore. I like very much leather jackets, skirts, bags and purses, and accessories. The leather flowers on the picture are handmade and are very original according to me. I wear the brown one in the winter and the rose one in the summer.
Your summer wardrobe also needs to be reinventes sometimes….
Big plastic pieces of jewellery have become a trend for the few past fashion seasons. I am not a big fan of plastic jewellery, but these colourful flowers and ”papillon” call for summer, hot drinks, and bars. Really chic and fashionable doesn’t matter the outfit.
Minimalist jewellery to boost your Scandinavian style
Furthermore, I would like to present to you these beautiful minimalistic pearl earrings and ring. They are designed by a very famous Bulgarian artist and are unique. Apart from that, I am a big fan of the minimalistic design, clothes, brands, and jewellery, I do also have a very small silver globe and a silver book that I wear on special occasions.
The symbol of the Sea and the Summer: my concrete tetrapod
To be honest I bought this tetrapod pendant out of nostalgia for the summer. It reminds me of the summer in Varna. It’s handmade and is 100% made of concrete. Check for more information: Five seasons
Reinvent the white shirt: wear something visual
This huge metal necklace on the picture below is not my style at all. But I have to admit it reinvents completely the white shirt and not only. It’s a great addition to my wardrobe, and I have to say, I am glad I bought it!
Handmade Felt brooch by Elena Encheva
This felt brooch is someting very special as it’s handmade by a close friend of mine – Elena Encheva. Elena makes miracles with her hands and she has outstanding brooches and accessories that can transform every boring outfit in a “signature style”.
Tagua nut handmade necklace from Peru
My motto, while I am travelling, is: support local craftsmanship. These Tagua nut handmade necklace from Peru is sold by a woman in Bulgaria, but I am sure she gets it from the source – local artists from Peru. I got a brilliant accessory for Secret Santa and have to say it gives an Exotic charm to my white shirts.
