I lived in the Netherlands for almost 5 years and had the opportunity to visit and see a lot of places in the country of the tulips. Here is my list of some breathtaking must-try Dutch experiences to have in the Netherlands.
As challenge 57 from the book ”203 challenges – Travel the World. Explore your Inner Self” says ”Go for a gondola ride in Venice or for a boat trip in little France – Strasburg, in Giethoorn – the Dutch Venice for a day or in Saint Petersburg – Russia”, I decided to accept the challenge and took the road for a boat trip in Giethoorn and enjoy the Dutch Venice for a day.
Since I live in the Netherlands I was always wondering if the Tulip fields really exist and if they are reachable by car or public transport or you can only admire them on the beautiful pictures.
Have you ever heard about Zeeland in the Netherlands? Do you have an idea where it is on the map? It looks like Zeeland is a well-known region located between The Netherlands and Belgium where people go on vacation during the summer period ??? Even though it’s in the middle of nowhere and nobody knows about that, it looks like I could select 5 authentic things to do in Zeeland, the Netherlands out of the season. The region has his beauty and charm and a lot to offer for one’s curious eyes and soul.
